Friends,
One word to describe my experience at IIMK till now-HECTIC.We don't have time to sleep properly..I slept around 3 hours per day from the day I came in(that's on the higher side).Seniors are conducting classes from 1 AM to 3 AM in the night.Have to get up in the morning at 6:30 for sporting activities(althrough I rarely played any sports during my engineering).Have to attend classes conducted by professers at 10:35 AM.Classes would end around 3:00 PM.Thats not over,you have to complete the assignments given by the prof and seniors IN TIME.
Thats a schedule which would have been unimaginable for me during engineering.Sleeping at about 3-4 am and waking up at 12 noon (or later) was the order of the day,but things have taken a U-turn after coming here.Believe me friends,all those lazy engineers out there,if you really want to get your as**s fu****(not literally),do an MBA. But surprisingly,as the McDonald tagline goes"I am loving it",I am actually liking this rigour!!!!
Yes,it drains out everything out of you...but you gotta learn a lot of things.There are innumerable things that can be done here besides sleeping. One thing I felt that that it is not the brand IIM that helps you fetch a high paying job,but the qualities that are imbibed in you after two years of this rigourous program.If you can survive these two years, you are worth a lot in the market.
Another thing I want to mention in this post is the breathtaking campus (we call it Kampus) of IIMK.Situated on a hill,the campus gives such pleasure to the eyes that only we know.Lush green covering,clouds hovering around...feels that I will be lost here forever..The rooms we are provided are more of a hotel room than a hostel room.Belive me friends,the rooms here are no lesser than suites.
